Marsha Cayton, CPNP-PC
Founding Practitioner
Marsha is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in a variety of healthcare settings. After years of practicing in medical and mental health, Marsha noticed that we are relying on medications to treat patients and they continue to get sicker and sicker. She did not feel like we were actually healing children. She was blessed to discover functional medicine which led her to starting SEE Alternatives Pediatrics in 2017, first as home visits on Seabrook and Kiawah, then expanding to a one room micropractice on Johns Island, and now to a full practice with multiple providers serving the Charleston area.
Emily Dowden
Associate Nurse Practitioner
Emily Dowden, MSN, CNP, APRN joined our team, as our second provider, October 2021. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Xavier University for both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and graduate degree for her MSN.
Emily spent the past 14+ years working in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center with the last 5 working as a nurse practitioner in ENT. She has a special interest in nutrition and fitness.
Lindsay Powers
Registered Nurse
Lindsay is a registered nurse who provides in office and phone support to our patients. You will speak with her when you have questions that don’t require an office visit. She has a calming nature and is great with children. She joins us with prior hospital experience and additional wellness experience.

Ashley Arza
Assistant Practice Manager
Ashley initially started with us as an administrative support specialist and has now stepped into the role of Assistant Practice Manager. She manages our membership program and provides oversight of the administrative portion of the practice. She also practices energy work with women and has a special interest in functional nutrition.
Larry Cayton
Practice Manager
Larry has a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and 20 years of experience in supply chain, business management, and project management. He operates as Practice Manager and manages billing, accounting, and general administrative duties.
Tiffanie Noonan, DO
Collaborating Physician
Dr. Tiffanie is our practice’s collaborating physician. She has been a pediatrician for 20 years. We are grateful to have her as a part of our practice.
