Well Visit – 6 Months

Well Visit Preparation

Please take a few minutes to complete and consider the following, which will help you optimize your time in our office.

For all visits going forward (until age 6 years), you will complete a developmental screen, called the Ages and Stages Questionnaire. Please review the questionnaire a couple days before your visit to see what activities your child accomplishes.

  • Developmental Screen – 6 month

  • Be prepared for your baby to have a toe prick for a hemoglobin at this visit.  You can learn more about why we do this test here.

  • How is your baby feeding? Have you started introducing solid foods yet, and how is it going?
  • How is your baby sleeping? Is your baby able to go to sleep and fall back asleep with minimal intervention?
  • How often is your baby have wet diapers and stool diapers? Have you noticed any change in your baby’s stools with the introduction of solids?

  • At this age we highly recommend you view the member only content entitiled Fever – Why you shouldn’t fear it! Your baby will have fever, and we want you to be prepared for when that happens.
