Well Visit – 15 Months

Well Visit Preparation

Please take a few minutes to complete and consider the following, which will help you optimize your time in our office.

  • Developmental Screen – Select the age most appropriate for your child at time of visit

    14 month   16 month

  • Have you started any “milk” yet?
  • Have you begun weaning bottles/pacifiers yet?
  • Is your baby experiencing any hard or infequent stools?
  • How are you dealing with your baby’s increased mobility?  Have you begun to notice increased desire for independence? Are you seeing any temper tantrums, biting, or other behaviors that are challenging to deal with?

Vaccines Typically Administered

We will be discussing multiple vaccines at this visit. Please come prepared with questions after reviewing the resources provided. Information from the CDC about each vaccine is provided on this page

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – MMR II
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox) – Varivax

Your Wellness Guide Additional Topics

At each well visit, you will receive a Your Wellness Guide, which provides information that we may not have time to discuss at your visit.  Even with the handout, there is still more information we cannot fit!  We are believers in Knowledge is Power, so we share as many resources with you as possible!!!

  • Car Seat Safety – Your baby should be in a rear facing car seat until at least 2 years of age. Make sure to look at the manufacturer guidelines for what height/weight the transition to the convertible seat occurs.   Here is a guide for additional information.  

  • This infographic includes pictures to explain why it is so important to keep your child rear facing as long as possible

  • We are learning that a healthy gut influences not only our physical health, but our mental and emotional health as well.  This is an amazing article about the importance of a healthy microbiome, gut and beyond
